Programmes
The supervisory board of the Cultural Endowment Council has initiated three translation programmes.
The Traducta programme supports translating and publishing Estonian literature outside Estonia. Translators and foreign publishers can apply for support from this programme.
The goal of the programmes Avatud Eesti Raamat and Hieronymus is to support publishing philosophical and theoretical texts and classical fiction in Estonian language. Estonian publishing houses and translators can apply for support from these two programmes.
The Baltic Culture Fund was established by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Estonia, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia, and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania to promote cultural cooperation between Baltic States, to strengthen the internationalization of Estonian, Latvian and Lithuanian culture, and to present a common Baltic dimension. The Fund is administered by national cultural endowments of the three Baltic states on a three-year rotation basis.
