The Endowment puts in its own share of 40 000 euros for the English Wallet project and 125 000 euros for translations and publications of Estonian literature in foreign languages.

It is a very good example of attracting private money in the culture field and we hope it is an example to other culture friends.

Traducta program was created in the year 2000 to support the translation of the works of Estonian authors (primarily fiction, but also history, folklore, essays etc.) into foreign languages and the publication of these works outside of Estonia. With the support of the program Estonian authors have been translated into more than 30 languages and published more than 300 books. The most popular languages are Latvian, Swedish and English.
